Our Mission
ChARIS advances Kuyperian public theology and forms Christian leaders for public responsibility in the Korean context.
Grounded in Abraham Kuyper’s vision of Christ’s lordship over every sphere of life, we integrate scholarship, publication, and leadership formation to prepare a new generation of leaders for Korean reunification and its societal reconstruction.

Forming Christian Public Leaders

About Us
ChARIS is a research institute and public theological platform rooted in Kuyper’s theological vision, based in Seoul, Korea. It advances scholarship, publication, leadership formation, and structured network development to serve the church and society across the Korean peninsula.
Its name reflects the Greek word χάρις (“grace”), a central theme in Kuyper’s theology affirming both God’s sovereignty and human responsibility in every sphere of life. This conviction defines the Institute’s identity: Christian leadership in public life must be anchored in divine grace and embodied in responsible engagement.
